SHOOK week 3

Here's what SHOOK us this week

In what SHOOK us this week: ask your kids to make the sign for phone, it will blow your mind. Why NASA shook us and shook us back again. And what dog breed is Scooby Doo?

Solar orbiter The closest-ever pictures of the sun were taken this week, by the European Space Agency’s Solar Orbiter probe. Amazing to see it up close…and to hear that 5,500 degrees is ‘relatively cool’.

Hello what? It turns out kids don’t make the signal for phone like we (combined age 83) do. Honestly try it. It reminds us of the story that millennials press doorbells with their thumb. Yet another reminder to know your audience!

Only one week left to get your #RedForRuth t-shirts and help raise money on 25.07.20 for families facing their toughest test – the death of a parent from cancer. More info here

Our star sign was a lie? This Libra is now a Virgo. Except I’m not. NASA didn’t change the star signs. SHOOK one way and then the other, in the space of a week.

K9 shocker! Great Danes are on the wane according to Kennel Club data released to coincide with the new Scooby Doo movie. Maybe the new film will turn that trend round. We’ll keep an eye on Google search trends and let you know. (TBH one of us was SHOOK to hear Scoob is a Great Dane).

Shaker of the week

Captain Sir Tom Moore – What a legend! He amazed us all with his fundraising and we love that the Queen gave him a public, in-person investiture.

Maker of the week

We love this project capturing different views from around the world so people can ‘travel’ during lockdown. New perspectives…not just from landscapes.

See you next week!
